Guardians of the Earth Association – Togo.


🩺 Presentation
As part of its humanitarian and community actions, the Gardiens de la Terre association welcomes interns in the health field in order to contribute to improving access to care for local populations.
Our internships are aimed at students and young professionals wishing to acquire practical experience in an intercultural environment, while participating in community health and awareness-raising actions.

We welcome interns in the following areas:
General medicine
Nursing
Caregiver
Psychology
Psychotherapy
Physiotherapy
Pediatrics
Community health
Any other paramedical or medico-social specialty.
Objectives of the internship
Participate in consultations and care activities (depending on level and legal framework)
Support local medical staff
Contribute to awareness campaigns (hygiene, nutrition, mental health, disease prevention)
Participate in the association’s humanitarian and social actions
Develop an intercultural approach to care.


 Place of the internship
The internships take place within partner structures (health centers, clinics, community structures) in Togo.
 Duration
Minimum: 1 month
Possibility of long internship (2 to 6 months)
Flexible dates depending on availability
 Framing
Each trainee benefits from:

Monitoring by the Guardians of the Earth team
An internship certificate at the end of the mission

Exigences et prérequis

Be a student or recent graduate in a medical, paramedical or medico-social sector
Have an internship agreement (if required by the establishment)
Have a sufficient level of French to communicate in a professional environment
Be motivated by humanitarian action and work in an intercultural context
Demonstrate maturity, adaptability and respect for medical ethics
Be covered by civil liability and repatriation insurance

Responsabilités

Observe and participate in consultations and care activities according to your level of training
Respect medical protocols and confidentiality rules
Collaborate with local medical staff
Contribute to prevention and community awareness actions
Participate in the association’s social and humanitarian activities
Write a short internship report at the end of the mission (if requested)
